“Coding is the language of the future, and every girl should learn it. As I've learned from watching girls grow and learn in our classrooms, coding is fun, collaborative and creative.”

My Designs

As PR Co-Chair, I developed many designs for social media, merchandise, and marketing of Girls Who Code at UVA. Below are just a few of my designs. I design within our brand identity package, which includes certain colors and graphics. We are known for our wave graphics, and I created and coordinated the purchase of our “Make Waves” bucket hats. I mainly use Canva for these graphics but I also used Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to create various media products.

The Girls Who Code chapter at UVA is committed to encouraging everyone to code and break stereotypes in STEM. As a committee member, I helped found our podcast, which highlights various topics. From our annual hackathon, Girls Hoo Hack, to interviewing start-up CEO’s, we focus on making STEM an inclusive and encouraging environment. Not only do I host the podcast, I also have edited many of the episodes.

Additionally, I have helped document our events, executive team, and members. Here are some of my favorite shots.
